Bob Kingdom
For over twenty years, Bob’s captivating recreation of Dylan Thomas has made his shows an international hit. His TV rendition of Dylan’s ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales’ is a marvel to behold.
Gwen Watkins
Gwen and her husband, poet Vernon Watkins, were life long friends of Dylan. Up and until Dylan’s death the group spent many hours creating, talking and socializing. Gwen is also a successful author and gives a poignant account of the lives of her friend and husband. Today, nearing 90, she is as active and sparkling as ever.
Tony Curtis
Tony is the author of several collections of poetry and books such as How Poets Work, Welsh Painters Talking and The Art of Seamus Heaney. He is also the editor of various poetry publications. In 2001 he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He has toured extensively giving readings and lectures. He is winner of both the Dylan Thomas and Cholmondeley Award.
John Tregenna
Playwright Jon has written episodes of The Bench and Belonging for the BBC and created and co-wrote the award winning S4C comedy drama series Cowbois Ac Injans. Jon has also written two stage plays, Buggerall (based loosely on Under Milk Wood) and The Prince of Wales. He also produces the online comedy drama David Garland Jones and works with The Boat House in Laugharne.
Anne Haden
Anne, along with her husband Geoff, preserved and restored the birth place of Dylan Thomas to its former Edwardian splendour. She has researched Dylan’s life and time at 5 Cwmdonkin Drive and is an enthusiastic supporter of his work and legacy. Anne regularly guides visitors around the house, Swansea and Gower.
Guy Masterson
From 1993 Guy has toured the world with his acclaimed solo show Under Milk Wood, Fern Hill & Other Dylan Thomas. Fern Hill opened at Edinburgh 2001 winning Guy the Stage Award for Best Actor. He recently directed the Olivier Award winning Morecambe and is the most awarded producer/director in Edinburgh Festival history. He is also a writer and arts critic.
Michael Bogdanov
Michael has directed acclaimed productions for the RSC, Royal National Theatre (where he was an Associate Director) and Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. He co-founded the award winning English Shakespeare Company. He has directed Under Milk Wood around the world from Britain to Japan, is a collector of Dylan’s work and a passionate Thomas scholar.
Hilly Janes
Hilly has been an editor and writer for national quality newspapers and magazines for over 20 years. She has contributed to The Guardian, Observer and Times where she launched and edited the paper’s award winning Body&Soul section. Hilly is also the daughter of Alfred Janes, the acclaimed Welsh painter and close friend of Dylan Thomas.
Peter Thabit Jones
Peter was born in Swansea, Wales and his poetry has been published by the likes of Cross-Cultural Communications, Penguin and Oxford University Press. In 2008 he and Aeronwy Thomas wrote the Dylan Thomas Walking Tour of Greenwich Village NY. Peter was also the organiser and co-Director of the 12 week Dylan Thomas in Wales international educational and cultural literary series.
Andrew Lycett
Andrew is an English biographer and journalist. He has worked for the London Times as a correspondent in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Andrew has written a number of acclaimed biographies including those of Ian Fleming and Dylan Thomas. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2010.
